We have an opportunity for volunteers to get involved with our brand new community based programme Harrogate Memories.
The main aims of the session are to: encourage social and sporting reminiscence with a group of local people and reduce social isolation and loneliness.
We will do this by inviting local people to speak about their passions; sharing their stories to the group. These sessions will be interactive and allow people to chat together expanding on their experiences.
We are looking for volunteers to speak at weekly sessions, but also to help us work with participants and stimulate discussions and conversations.
- Communications skills
- Ability to work well as a team
- An interest in encouraging social and sporting reminiscence
- A positive and friendly outlook
The sessions would be weekly, every Friday (starts on 28th February) 1:30pm start.
We are looking for volunteers who can assist us most weeks.
